Admission Process in Government Universities to Become Uniform: Students Can Register Once for Entry into All Universities from the Academic Year 2024

Important news has emerged for students aspiring to secure admission in Gujarat's government universities starting from the upcoming academic year. Under the Common University Act, a common admission process will be initiated across all government universities. Until now, admission processes for courses like Science, Medical, and Engineering were separate, but from now on, admission processes will be standardized for all courses, including Arts and Commerce.

Implementation of this decision will begin in the upcoming academic year, starting from 2024. This decision has several advantages for students, as it will allow them to register only once and gain access to admission opportunities in all government universities. This change will simplify the application process for students and provide them relief from the hassle of filling out multiple forms for different universities.

Admissions to Arts and Commerce programs will now follow the same procedure as Science and Medical programs. Gujarat University's Vice-Chancellor, Neerja Gupta, has confirmed that after completing their 12th-grade education, students will no longer have to apply separately to different universities. Instead, they can now register just once, and this single registration will encompass all government universities in the state.

This transformation in the admission process has been made possible through the integration of an online admission system by GIPL (Gujarat Informatics Pvt Ltd). GIPL has provided the necessary software and applications to facilitate this common admission process. This streamlined approach will save time and reduce the administrative burden on students.

With this new system in place, students will only need to fill out one application form. In this single form, they will find options for all universities and colleges. Each university will still maintain its unique admission criteria and timelines, but the common admission process will simplify and expedite the application process for students, making it more efficient and accessible.

સરકારી યુનિવર્સિટીઓમાં કોમન એડમિશન પ્રક્રિયા:વિદ્યાર્થીઓ એક જ વખત રજીસ્ટ્રેશન કરાવી તમામ યુનિવર્સિટીઓમાં પ્રવેશ મેળવી શકશે, શૈક્ષણિત સત્ર 2024થી અમલ કરાશે.

ગુજરાતની સરકારી યુનિવર્સિટીમાં આગામી સત્રથી પ્રવેશ મેળવવા ઈચ્છતા વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ માટે મહત્ત્વના સમાચાર સામે આવ્યા છે. કોમન યુનિવર્સિટી એક્ટ હેઠળ આગામી સત્રથી તમામ સરકારી યુનિવર્સિટીઓમાં કોમન પ્રવેશ પ્રક્રિયા શરૂ થશે. અત્યાર સુધી 12 સાયન્સ પછી મેડિકલ-ઈજનેર ક્ષેત્રે કોમન પ્રવેશ પ્રક્રિયા કરવામાં આવતી હતી. જે હવેથી આર્ટ્સ, કોમર્સ સહિતના તમામ કોર્સમાં પ્રવેશ પ્રક્રિયા થશે.
આગામી શૈક્ષણિક સત્રથી આ નિર્ણયનો અમલ
કોમન યુનિવર્સિટી એક્ટનું બિલ પાસ થઈ ગયું છે. ત્યારે હવે સરકારી યુનિવર્સિટીની પ્રવેશ પ્રક્રિયામાં મોટા ફેરફાર આવ્યા છે. વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ અગાઉ અલગ અલગ યુનિવર્સિટીમાં પ્રવેશ મેળવવા માટે અલગ અલગ ફોર્મ ભરવા પડતા હતા જેની જગ્યાએ હવે માત્ર એક જ વખત રજીસ્ટ્રેશન કરાવી તમામ સરકારી યુનિવર્સિટીમાં પ્રવેશ મેળવી શકશે. આગામી શૈક્ષણિક સત્ર 2024થી આ નિર્ણયનો અમલ થશે. આ નિર્ણયના કારણે વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ અલગ અલગ ફી તથા અલગ અલગ પ્રક્રિયાથી છૂટકારો મળશે.
કોર્મસ અને સાયન્સના કોર્સમાં પ્રક્રિયા શરૂ કરાશે.

ગુજરાત યુનિવર્સિટીના કુલપતિ નીરજા ગુપ્તાએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, ધોરણ 12 બાદ વિદ્યાર્થીઓને અલગ અલગ યુનિવર્સિટીમાં પ્રવેશ મેળવવો હોય તો અલગ અલગ જગ્યાએ જવું પડતું હતું. અલગ અલગ યુનિવર્સિટીમાં ફોર્મ ભરવા પડતા હતા. ત્યારે હવે એન્જિનિયરિંગની જેમ કોર્મસ અને સાયન્સના કોર્સમાં કોમન એડમિશન પ્રક્રિયા શરૂ કરાશે. અત્યાર સુધી GIPL કંપની દ્વારા ઓનલાઈન એડમિશન પ્રક્રિયા સાથે જોડાયેલી હતી. હવે GIPLને કોમન એડમિશન માટે સોફ્ટવેર કે એપ્લિકેશન આપી શકાય છે.

વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ એક જ વખત ફોર્મ ભરવાનું રહેશે.

આ પ્રક્રિયાનો અમલ થવાથી વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ એક જ વખત ફોર્મ ભરવાનું રહશે. એક જ ફોર્મમાં તમામ યુનિવર્સિટી અને કોલેજના વિકલ્પ મળશે. જુદી જુદી યુનિવર્સિટી પોતાની રીતે એડમિશન આપે છે અને સમય પણ અલગ અલગ હોય છે. પરંતુ કોમન એડમિનશ પ્રક્રિયાથી એક જ સમયે તમામ એડમિશન પ્રક્રિયા ચાલુ થશે.
